Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 May 2026

These terms govern your use of Roger ("the Service"). By signing up you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who we are

Roger is operated by Roger Pty Ltd, an Australian company.

2. Your account

You must be authorised to act on behalf of the business that signs up. You're responsible for everything that happens under your accounts and your staff's accounts. Keep your sign-in credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. What Roger does

Roger receives calls and SMS to a number we provision for your business, routes them, can route urgent jobs to your on-call technician, can take payment of callout fees, can push invoices to Xero, and can request reviews from your customers.

Roger does not provide trade services itself. We are a software platform, not a tradesperson.

4. Your obligations

  • Hold the licences and insurances required for your trade in your state or territory.
  • Comply with consumer protection and Australian Consumer Law in your dealings with customers Roger introduces.
  • Honour payment obligations to your customers (refunds, etc) per Australian Consumer Law.
  • Use Roger lawfully — no spam, no misrepresentation to customers, no use that infringes anyone's rights.

5. Fees

Roger charges a monthly subscription plus per-message and per-transaction passthrough costs (Twilio SMS rates, Stripe fees, Anthropic API costs). Current pricing is shown in the dashboard. We'll give 30 days' notice in the dashboard before changing the subscription price.

6. Customer-facing communications

Messages sent to your customers via Roger appear to come from your business. You are the sender for compliance purposes (Spam Act, Privacy Act). Roger provides the technology; you provide the relationship and the content.

Review-request SMS include an opt-out instruction ("Reply STOP"). We honour STOP replies at the Roger level. You must honour them in any other communication channels you use.

7. Availability

Roger is provided "as is". We aim for high uptime but we don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Critical flows (SMS receipt, urgent on-call routing) are designed to fail-soft — for example, on-call routing falls back to your primary business mobile if no shift covers the current time.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you under these terms is limited to the fees you've paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the liability. We exclude all consequential, indirect, and incidental damages.

Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law to the extent those rights cannot be excluded.

9. Closing your account

You can close your account at any time from Settings. We can close your account on 30 days' notice, or immediately for breach of these terms. On closure we anonymise PII per the Privacy Policy and stop billing.

10. Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of NSW courts.
